He was raised by his grandparents until he lost his grandmother, then he was raised by his grandfather. He started playing the fiddle at age thirteen. He always attended dances when he was growing up and later he played at them. Angus discusses the first fiddle tune he learned to play and the first fiddle he purchased from the Hudson’s Bay Company store for fifteen dollars. He has played many musical instruments and discusses the musical influences in his life. He talks about his fiddle songs and the band and talent shows he participated in when he was growing up. Angus describes what he looks for when he is buying a fiddle and he shares a little bit of advice for beginners. |
