Michif Speakers Conference, March 11, 2006, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Delegates from Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba gathered to form the National Michif Speakers Association (NMSA), which consists of Michif-speaking community people dedicated to the protection and promotion of the Michif-Cree language. Norman Fleury, Michif speaker from Virden, Manitoba, delivers opening remarks and Dorothy Aubichon, Michif speaker from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, provides an opening prayer. Clem Chartier, President of the Metis National Council and Michif speaker from Ile-à-la-Crosse, Saskatchewan gives opening remarks. Bruce Dumont, President of the Metis Nation - British Columbia gives an address. Delegates talk amongst themselves at the Michif Speakers Conference.
