This document is a scan of the front page of The Saskatchewan Valley News from October 31, 1968. On the front page is an article entitled, "Gabriel's Bridge Official Opened." It contains two photograph related to the opening including the Minister of Highways Dave Boldt cutting the official ribbon and the unveiling of the bridge`s plaque by Felicité Dumont, Gabriel Dumont's grand-niece. This item was donated to the Institute by Dennis and Jean Fisher in 2011. This collection contains archaeological artifacts taken from the battlefields of the 1885 Resistance as well as Fort Pitt (Saskatchewan), Cumberland House (Saskatchewan) and St. Peter's Mission, Montana. The collection also includes various artifacts and ephemera relating to the 1885 Resistance and Gabriel Dumont. |
