These two photographs from the 1920s are of the Royal North West Mounted Police Barracks at Batoche during the 1920s. In this photograph, Dennis Fisher`s father appears in front of the building. The building was formally the home of the Xavier Letendre dit Batoche. These photographs are part of the Dennis and Jean Fisher Collection. This collection contains archaeological artifacts taken from the battlefields of the 1885 Resistance as well as Fort Pitt (Saskatchewan), Cumberland House (Saskatchewan) and St. Peter’s Mission, Montana. The collection also includes various artifacts and ephemera relating to the 1885 Resistance and Gabriel Dumont. |
