Jeanne Pelletier is a Métis Elder who lives in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. She is the author of the Gabriel Dumont Institute book, ``The Story of the Rabbit Dance,” and was a contributing storyteller to the Institute`s ``Stories of Our People: A Métis Graphic Novel Anthology.`` The first woman Métis dance caller in Canada, Jeanne has promoted traditional Métis dance for decades. She was also the narrator and dance caller of the instructional video, ``Steps in Time: Traditional Métis Dance,” which appears on this site. The DVD, ``Steps in Time Two,” is available for sale on the Institute`s ecommerce site. |
