In 2016, the Gabriel Dumont Institute Press repackaged the original stories into a series of five individual comics: “Chi-Jean and the Red Willows,” “How Michif was Lost,” “Whistle for Protection,” and “Attack of the Roogaroos!”
The original interviews of “The Métis Folklore Project” are found on this website under the folder entitled “Métis Storytellers.” Gabriel Dumont Institute Press wishes to thank storytellers Norman Fleury, Gilbert Pelletier, Jeanne Pelletier, Joe Welsh, and Norma Welsh for contributing directly to the stories published in these comics.
