Description: | This leather portfolio belonged to Métis leader, James Brady, and was in the long-term possession of Allan Quandt of La Ronge, Saskatchewan. Allan Quandt then gave it to Cree author Howard Johnson who had planned on writing a book about James Brady. In turn it was entrusted to author Michael Nest (who is currently writing a book about James Brady) and Professor Deanna Reder to donate to the Gabriel Dumont Institute. It measures 18 inches (46 cm) by 12 inches (30.5 cm) in width. |
