Description: The Money Scrip certificate (No. 4746) was issued to Paul Blandion in 1876 and was acquired by the Gabriel Dumont Institute in October 2024. It is one of eight $20.00 denomination Scrip certificates issued to Blandion in 1876 who resided at Fort Pitt (in what is now Saskatchewan). Scrip certificate numbers 4745, 4751, and 4752 are in the Library Archives Canada (LAC) collection. It is unknown where the remaining four Scrip certificates (Nos. 4747-4750) are located. The redeemed or “cancelled” certificates were all supposed to be retained by the Dominion Lands Office in Ottawa. It is not known where the missing Scrip certificates are located.
